Sol Center for Liberated Work is a non-profit organization that aims to promote knowledge sharing, networking, and financial independence for individuals in the arts. They provide business training, grants, and incubate innovative projects that create new program knowledge, tools and practices for artists in the field, and conditions that contribute to realizing financial self determination.

In a world where traditional work models are rapidly evolving, Sol Center emerges as a beacon for the gig economy's workforce. Our mission was to craft a brand identity that encapsulates their vision of uniting communities to revolutionize work and worker protections. Sol Center's ambition to champion legal and health care protections for freelancers, particularly visual artists and craftspeople, guided the creative direction for an artistic and inclusive brand image.

I developed dual logos for Sol Center's c3 and c4 entities, each resonating with the vibrant spirit of the artistic community they serve. The branding embraces textures and effects reminiscent of brushstrokes and risograph prints, yielding a visually rich and textured identity. This nuanced branding strategy not only sets Sol Center apart but also authentically reflects the creative pulse of their community.

The website became a digital collage, layering the intricate motifs of Sol Center's branding into a narrative that highlights their goals and achievements. It serves as a hub for collaboration, showcasing partnerships and reports, as well as the organization's commitment to redefining worker protections.
